World Affairs Conference

The Conference of World Affairs (CWA) Week is a festival of ideas featuring 200 panels, 100 speakers and performers, over 5 days, attracting more than 70,000 in cumulative attendance each year. There was also a CWA Speaker Series where thought leaders in their field join us for a campus visit with an evening discussion open to all.

The event is held on the CU Boulder campus, although CU Denver joined in through live stream! The event is held yearly on the Boulder campus, so if you missed it, you will have another chance next fall.

The Conference featured speakers Faith Spotted Eagle and Bianca Williams. With performance by Scatter Their Own. Students, faculty. and Staff broke out throughout the day into Identity-based Caucuses and breakout sessions on Humble Allies, Language of Leadership, Disrupting the Cisheteropatriarchy, and Breaking the Binary.

Check out some sweet photos taken at this break dancing competition held on campus! One of CU Denver’s very own student organizations put on this event to showcase the talents of the urban scene of Denver’s dancers.
